Our CEO, Sandro Pittalis, LL.M., MBA, accompanied by Christian Ludwig recently embarked on an extraordinary journey to the origins of classical and contemporary violin making, visiting the iconic cities of Dresden, Vienna, Venice, Cremona, and Milan. This trip was a deep dive into the art and craftsmanship of violin making, aimed at exploring new avenues for sales and networking within this unique industry.

Sandro had the privilege of meeting with luminaries in the field, including Paolo Bodini, the esteemed CEO of the Museo del Violino in Cremona. His visit to the museum offered unparalleled insights into the violin’s history and its cultural significance, further enriching this experience.

Throughout his journey, Sandro also engaged with notable figures such as Julia Pasch, Lüder Machhold, Gregg Alf, and francesco toto, gleaning new perspectives on the blend of tradition and innovation in violin making and discussing the concrete use of blockchain technology to optimize traditional markets. In a conversation with Stefano Trabucchi, member of the Steering Committee of the Cremona Mondomusica event and president of the violinmakers’ group of Confartigianato Imprese in Milan, they discussed a concrete future collaboration of vountain with the Fondazione Canale and the violin maker Carlo Chiesa.

This trip was mainly about forming lasting connections with those who share our passion for this exquisite art form. Sandro returned from his travels inspired and with a renewed vision for our company’s role in the global landscape of violin making.

We are excited about the future collaborations and opportunities that will stem from this journey. In this context, you can already look forward to our reports on our participation in the Friends of Stradivari event, the Mondomusica and a collaboration with the Museo di Violino in Cremona.
